Today, I remember something that happened some months back when we were planning for Rural Rugged (it's an Evangelism outreach for serving Christian Corpers). In case you're here and you've not gone for service yet, do make sure to join any close Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF). Trust me, you'll be glad you did. Service year is not a time to flex and see another part of the country because you're in another man's state. Rather, it's a time to work on yourself and develop your spiritual life ahead of the full adulting lifestyle.
Now, I've always heard of battery level, your battery level as a believer and all of that. Yes, we all have the same
measure of the Spirit of the Lord. However, the way we put Him to use is what
is different in measures and you know this kind comes only but by
fellowshipping with the Father. Pay attention, FELLOWSHIPPING (may the Lord
give you understanding).
Now, I had a dream (can't go into details) where my battery level was 34%. And we were going out for field
evangelism??? My goodness! I had to find a quick solution. As the Lord would
have it, there was a 6-hour prayer cruise that happened to happen around that
time in the NCCF family house where I lived. I put away acting and the crowd
effect and all was prayed out my heart to the Lord with all the seriousness I
could gather. Funnily enough, it was through me that the Holy Spirit announced the program (He must have known ahead of time that I needed it).
I was up and about anchoring and making sure everything was going according to plan during the program. Trust me, even as I did this, I still didn't cut off that communication with my Father and a couple of weeks after that, I dreamt again and my battery level was about 70+ (did you just smile?😊). Mehn, you know not my joy when I woke up from that dream. I was ready! Not just for the Rural Rugged but for anything.
It was far more than that program. Twas
more about my heart and readiness, and minus the 6-hours prayer cruise, I made
some personal decisions and it sent me into fasting, though I broke my fast by
12pm for reasons best known to me. However, that time, I knew what it felt to
be dry physically and spiritually.
Had to pay special attention to prayers and
studying and listening, meditating and locking every other thing out. I just enjoyed that
time alone with the Holy Spirit and it yielded fruits.
May The Lord Give You Understanding, Amen.
